will receive a $1000.00 cash prize and more. Prizes for 2nd and 3rd place
will be presented at the event.

Description: MyStudio and ASU Gammage are looking for the best puppet performance!
AVENUE Q is the smash-hit Broadway musical about real life in New York City, as told by a cast of people and puppets. The three-time Tony Award(r) winning musical will make its Tempe debut at ASU Gammage March 9-14, 2010.
People of all ages are eligible to enter. Contestants must create their own
puppet show video. Puppet show can include any one or all of the following
elements: singing, dancing, acting or comedy.

- MyStudio and New Times Karaoke Idol
Description: Karaoke Idol is back!!! 20 venues across town will be hosting their own Karaoke Idol Night once a week for 12 consecutive weeks. There will be a total of 3 Rounds lasting a total of 4 weeks each. A winner will be picked each week at each venue for the first 3 weeks of each round. Those winners will then create a Karaoke Idol Music Video by going to the MyStudio location at Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall and enter it under the venue in which they won their spot to get them to the semi-finals by clicking on the ENTER button below and following the simple instructions. In week 4 of each round, on-line voting for that round will commence. There will be one semi-finalist from each venue at the end of each round, for a total of 3 semi-finalist per venue. Each venue will have a LIVE sing-off with the 3 semi-finalists. One winner will be chosen from each venue to continue to the FINALS.
To qualify for entry you must first visit any one of the 20 venues hosting a Karaoke Idol Night and win one of the LIVE weekly competitions.
ROUND ONE - Qualify from January 21st to February 13th
ROUND ONE - On-line Voting to choose semi-finalists from February 14th to February 17th
ROUND TWO - Qualify from February 18th to March 10th
ROUND TWO - On-line Voting to choose semi-finalists from March 14th to March 17th

ROUND THREE - On-line Voting to choose semi-finalists from April 11th to April 14th

Voting: There are a total of 3 Rounds consisting of 4 weeks each. In week 4 of each round MyStudio Members can vote for their favorite video(s) once an hour, every day for a period of 4 days. Exact dates of voting for each round will be posted.
On-line voting for the FINALS will start on April 30thand end on May 16th. MyStudio Members can vote for their favorite video once a day, every day. The person with the most on-line votes at the end of the FINAL round will win.

The winner will receive two tickets to the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards on January 31, 2010, at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, round-trip airfare from Phoenix, hotel accommodations and ground transportation to the event. - 25th Annual Tucson Folk Festival
Description: Perform for thousands of people at the 25th Annual Tucson Folk Festival!!! The Tucson Kitchen Musician’s Association and MyStudio have partnered to select a “Featured” artist to perform at the 25th Annual Tucson Folk Festival. Many nationally known artists have performed at the festival, including Richie Havens, Odetta, Al Stewart, David Wilcox and many more. This is Arizona’s largest folk festival and historically many more performers apply than the Festival is able to present!
This contest is an opportunity to earn a choice performance time before any other artists are selected, and to be assured that your performance will be enjoyed by the largest crowd of folk music lovers available in Arizona.
Contest is open to all ages. This is an Acoustic Folk Festival so applicants and performers must play an acoustic instrument. Accepted musical styles are Traditional, Folk, Americana, Acoustic Singer/Songwriter, Bluegrass, World Music, and related genres.
