About:
Ever heard of the Next Big Thing? Well country music artist, singer and songwriter Kyle Mercer has been labeled "The New Talk Of The Town" by fans everywhere.
Born in 1985, The Arizona native has been honing his performing, musicianship and writing skills for years now. He has made a name for himself throughout Arizona as an artist willing to go above and beyond to achieve success in his craft. He has performed all kinds of shows and venues in Arizona from Channel 3’s Good Morning Arizona and as an opening act for 2008 Nashville star’s Ashley Hewitt to performances at Chase Field for Arizona Diamond Back games.
In addition to his accolades as a performer, Kyle has crafted his writing skills and has written over thirty songs in the past 6 months. Currently 2008’s Country Colgate Showdown 1st place winner for all of Northern Arizona, Kyle has rounded up some of Arizona’s top musicians to accompany him on his journey to the top of the charts.
In 2003 Kyle joined the U.S. Navy and served over seas on a four year tour. Although music is his passion, Kyle felt that he was obligated to do his part in making our country a better place. Kyle finished his time in the service and set out to achieve his dream of becoming a country music artist. Gradually, he has grown in his professionalism learning the ins and outs of the music industry. Kyle has always been open to learn and has been by some of the music entertainment industries top names such as Engineer and Vice President of A&M Records Shelly Yakus, Acclaimed Music Video Director Lionel C. Martin, Founder of JWM Records and recording artist Wade Martin and even Inter scope records own co-founder and friend Larry Ryckman, to name a few. Kyle's experiences in life and goals are what set him apart from the average artist. He’s always believed that hard work and dedication are the keys to success.
Kyle is working on his new album “Where Ya Coming From” planned to be released in Spring 2009. Kyle is also currently looking to be signed to a recording contract and is not affiliated with any recording companies.
