About:
Lindsay Owen was born and raised in Southern California, but she is no average California girl. She moved to the desert 12 years ago and has been playing the Phoenix music scene since she was 16. Lindsay currently hosts the Open Mic Night at Mama Java's Coffee House and frequently plays at a variety of popular venues. A solo artist, she rocks both new-folk-alternative originals and classic covers. Her sound is finger pickin' good, with a dynamic guitar rhythm and heartfelt lyrics about complex relationships and inspirational life experiences. Lindsay released her first demo in October 2007 and continues to write and release music. Venues and special events she has rocked out at: Mama Java's Coffee House, Fiddler's Dream, Inza Coffeehouse, Peace Tree House, Sub Culture Cafe, Trunk Space, Starbucks, Wok Star Bar, Pie Zano's Kitchen, Phoenix College Music and Arts Festival 2008, GLSEN Benefit 2008, Gay Pride Festival 2008, and opened for one of her hero's, Edie Carey, in April 2007.
